Appointments and Walk-In Availability
Sunmed Skin and Medical Clinic offers a variety of appointment types to suit your needs, including:
• Standard Consultations: Typically 15 minutes, ideal for new issues or routine check-ups.
• Long Consultations: Recommended for multiple concerns or complex medical issues.
• Home Visits: We offer home visits for long-term patients with palliative care needs through our partnership with Hello Home Doctors Service. Please speak to your GP if you think you may qualify for this service.
• Walk-In Appointments: Walk-ins are accepted when availability allows, but we recommend booking in advance to ensure you see your preferred doctor.
After-Hours Care
At Sunmed Skin and Medical Clinic, we are committed to providing access to healthcare, even outside of our regular opening hours. For after-hours medical care, we have partnered with Hello Home Doctor Service. This service ensures that our patients can access medical assistance when the clinic is closed.

Patients can call 134 100 to arrange for a home visit by a qualified doctor when the clinic is closed. This service is ideal for patients who need non-urgent medical care outside of standard clinic hours. If you have a medical emergency, please dial 000 or visit your nearest hospital emergency department.
Telehealth Services
Our telehealth services are designed to provide convenient access to healthcare for patients unable to attend in person. Telehealth appointments are conducted via telephone only; video consultations are currently not offered. These services are ideal for follow-up consultations, discussing test results, and ongoing care for chronic conditions. Please ensure that your Medicare card and current contact details are provided when booking a telehealth appointment. If a physical examination is required, your doctor may advise a follow-up in-person visit.
Communication Policy
At Sunmed Skin and Medical Clinic, we are committed to providing clear and effective communication with our patients. Our communication policy covers both telephone and electronic communications to ensure that patient queries, appointment bookings, and clinical information are handled securely and efficiently.
• Telephone Communication:
Our clinic reception is available to take your calls during business hours. Please note that clinical information is not shared over the phone unless authorized by your GP. If you need to speak with your doctor, our staff will take a message, and you may be asked to schedule an appointment for further discussion.
• Electronic Communication:
We offer SMS appointment reminders and secure messaging for follow-up information. Sensitive medical information is handled with the utmost confidentiality and is only transmitted through secure channels. Patients can also provide feedback or contact us via email for non-urgent inquiries, but clinical advice will not be provided via email.
• Appointments:
We offer a variety of appointment types, including standard, long, and walk-in appointments based on availability. Home visits are available for long-term palliative patients. Telehealth services are available via telephone consultation; please call us to schedule.
